Originally three settlements: Srbin, Mukarov and Buda grew together into one Mukarov due to the suburbanization of the Capital City of Prague suburban area. The seat of Zernovka, separated by forests, developed mainly by the development of individual recreational facilities. The main direction of development is suburban and rural development, or the addition of uncontrolled residential and recreational development into a multifunctional unit at the level of a township size, respectively. The development and completion of the area is fundamentally conditioned by the solution of drinking water supply and the addition of a new wastewater treatment plant and increasing the capacity of energy networks. For the operation of existing and new built-up areas, a network of local and purpose-built roads is added. Due to the high growth in the number of inhabitants in the last 20 years, it was necessary to propose an extension of areas for public amenities (kindergartens, elementary schools, pension for seniors, etc.) and for commercial civic amenities (supermarket, services, etc.). The emphasis on nature and landscape protection was reflected in the use of larger and smaller areas of vacant lots in the built-up area, with only minimal demands on the occupation of further landscape areas. The local territorial system of ecological stability was newly defined, the supra-regional system was fully respected without any intervention. To use fully the recreational potential of the suburban landscape of the Capital City of Prague, the tourist and bicycle routes were supplemented.
