Pipes with diameters of 250 to 350 mm and a total length of about 800 m were replaced. The route led from the B6 production unit up to the fly ash storage. Assembly work consisted of:
- Dismantling of existing pipelines
- Repair of fix points and sliding points
- Installation of new piping including new expansion joints and clamps
- Pressure test
All work was carried out from work platforms and using cranes. Preparatory work (welding of flanges, preparation of bevels, etc.) is then carried out at the ground-level workplace. The key point of the whole project was the dismantling and assembly of the 40 m long pipeline across the railway line, where the railway shutdown 24 hours only.
