Project documentation for the construction permit - Construction modifications for reduction of Hg emissions

Description

The contract consisted of the documentation processing for installation of mercury emission reduction equipment at three units of the Power Plant (3 x 200 MWe). This is the documentation for the construction permit.

The technology included the following equipment:

- 1 x truck unloading unit

- 1 x sorbent storage silo (activated carbon) 100 m3

- 3 x daily sorbent silo 5 m3

- 3 x pneumatic ejector

- 3 x injection ports

- 4 x air blower for sorbent injection

- 2 x compressor for transporting sorbent to the day silos

- 1 x nitrogen inerting

Sorbent consumption was set at 20 - 200 kg/h per unit. The activated carbon stored in the silo is fluidised with air from the existing pressurised air distribution system and transported to the day silos to the individual units by pneumatic conveying. Next, the activated carbon is conveyed by pneumatic conveyance to the injection nozzles and is sprayed into the flue gas ducts where the mercury from the flue gas is absorbed.

The documentation also included (in addition to the documentation for the construction permit) an external influences determination report, explosion protection documentation, a list of dedicated technical equipment and other documents.

The contract was not only processed in our company in terms of technology, it also included the construction documentation of the building and steel structures at the given stage of documentation. The Electric Engineering and I&C parts of documentation were subcontracted and provided by ALLCONS.
